The real world is conceived through its conceptualization. The ideas an the judgements that detach from this conceptualization are the ones shaping the outside world.
The following drawings are a set of portraits in which the identity of the person is shaped after concepts. These concepts define –write- the personality of the photographed person and in a way it recreates –draws- its image.
With this project i intend to build portraits that go beyond image or a mere depiction. Portraits that become actual portraits, in the whole meaning of that word.
My definition of the portrayed person responds to a very personal view and affective attachment to it.
El mundo real se concibe a través de su conceptualización. Las ideas y los juicios que se desprenden de esa conceptualización son los que dan forma al exterior.
Los siguientes dibujos son una serie de retratos conceptuales, en los cuales la identidad de la persona toma forma a partir de conceptos. Estos conceptos van definiendo (escribiendo) la personalidad del retratado y de manera figurativa recrea (dibuja) su imagen.
Con este proyecto persigo el construir retratos que vayan mas allá de la imagen o de una descripción somera. Retratos que cumplan en toda su extensión con la definición de este.
Mi definición del retratado responde a una visión muy personal y al vinculo afectivo con él.
